Akshay, ECE Year 2, is a hardware engineer in the HKUST robotics team. He is currently working with his team on building an underwater ROV for the 2017 MATE International ROV competition. Smart walking cane and smart suitcase are a couple of his recent projects.
Athina, Marketing and Management Alumni, has always been fascinated about technology innovation with a belief in progress. She currently strives to aid talents emerge from hackUST to realize business ideas into viable, efficient, and disruptive services.
David, CS Year 1, is a computer scientist, developer, and designer. He is passionate for enhancing design for human–computer interactions. David grew up in Taiwan and California and continues to drive in the right lane.
Donny, Associate Director of the HKUST Entrepreneurship Center and Student Affairs Office, is a a passionate intrapreneur, a resourceful mentor, a coach for entrepreneurs, and is well known for his success in organizing the BASE, SxI, hackUST, hardUST, and the E-Week.
Joseph, IS Alumni, is interested in web design and front-end development originating from Year 4. After graduation last year, he joined the Ruby on Rails web development bootcamp in Taiwan from October to January. He is currently passionate about the software development.
Lefteris, Ph.D. CS. He is currently interested in graph theory, social networks and game theory and has been awarded the PhD fellowship award twice by HKUST. He won the first prize in the ’16 Supercharger Fintech Hackathon and continues to encourage students to turn ideas into reality.
Tanmay, CS Year 2, is a budding entrepreneur and likes to learn from any source possible about how to make the world a better place. He has worked in 3 different startups - one of them being a unicorn! He was in the OC of successful hackUST’16 and wishes for hackUST’17 to be even more successful.
Tae Jun, MARK & IS Year 4, is an entrepreneur. He has co-founded an IT start-up, StoreRush, supported with the HKUST Entrepreneurship Acceleration Fund, and participated in the One Million Dollar Competition and hackUST’16. He strives to create an ideal hacking climate in HKUST.
Veronica, IELM Year 4, is an experienced hacker and organizer. She has won various hackathons including MHacks (FinTech) and Fishackathon (Regional Champion). Veronica spends her time outside of class following recent technological advancements with a focus on venture capital.
